Knoxville, Tennessee – November 1, 2023

(WBIR) An investigation revealed that Matthew Green was actively assaulting a person in the parking garage at 2120 Clinch Avenue around 9:30 p.m. His son shot him in the leg after giving him multiple warnings to stop the assault, KPD said. Green was transported to the hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. He was charged with domestic assault and aggravated kidnapping and will be taken into custody upon his release from the hospital, according to KPD. Orlando, Florida – November 1, 2023

(ClickOrlando.com) Police told News 6 that the shooting happened around 10:40 p.m. inside the Wawa store John Young Parkway at the intersection of Silver Star Road. The Orlando Police Department said a man, identified as 45-year-old Derek T. Wilson, went up to individuals in the store “in a threatening and erratic manner.” “The victim was acting in self defense when he shot at the suspect. Multiple witnesses on scene confirmed this,” police said in a release. Wilson faces charges of assault and disorderly conduct. Mesquite, Texas – November 2, 2023

(New York Post) A Texas store owner is still reeling after getting into a shootout with two would-be robbers. One of the men pulled out a gun, which prompted Tran to take his own handgun out from the back of his pants and open fire, surveillance footage of the incident showed. Tran fired a warning shot, and the suspect fired three rounds in return before fleeing – leaving bullet holes in the walls and a display case. No one was injured, but the shooting also tore a hole in Tran’s golf bag and shattered his sunglasses, which he only noticed the next day at a golf tournament with his teenage son. Grifton, North Carolina – November 3, 2023
